LDEO Spring Public Lecture Series: Western Antarctic Peninsula- Rapid Climate Change and an Ecosystem Near a Tipping Point
The Earth Institute's Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory's Public Lectures presents "The Western Antarctic Peninsula: Rapid Climate Change and an Ecosystem Near a Tipping Point," with Hugh Ducklow, Professor, Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Columbia University.
Open to the public. RSVP recommended.
The ecosystem of Antarctica is changing in response to global atmospheric warming faster than any other marine ecosystem in the world. Professor Hugh Ducklow, has been observing these changes at Palmer Station on the Antarctic Peninsula for over 10 years.
